Touch 'n Go eWallet has made parking even easier with the introduction of the Licence Plate Recognition (LPR) system

Now, at participating car parks, you can drive in and out without tapping your card or paying beforehand β€” the system automatically recognises your car's licence plate.

This LPR Parking feature is currently available at 12 locations, and TNG eWallet plans to add more LPR-enabled car parks across Malaysia.

Here's how you can activate this convenient feature:

The feature can be activated in a few simple steps:

1. Open the TNG eWallet app

2. Find LPR Parking: Scroll down and tap "More", then look for "LPR Parking". You can also search for "Parking" to find it quickly.

3. Enable LPR: Tap "LPR" and enable the feature for your registered vehicle. All vehicles registered in your TNG eWallet account will be included by default.

4. Agree to Auto Debit: Accept the auto-debit terms and enter your 6-digit PIN to confirm.

5. Confirmation: You'll receive a notification confirming successful LPR registration.

6. Manage Vehicles: In the LPR parking section, you can enable or disable LPR for specific vehicles or add new ones. You can register up to 10 vehicles in your eWallet account.

To make your LPR parking experience hassle-free, it's best to ensure your TNG eWallet has enough money in it before you leave the car park

You don't need a minimum balance to enter, though. When you drive out, the system automatically calculates your parking fee based on how long you stayed and the parking rate, and then deducts it from your eWallet. You won't even need to touch your phone.

Even if you lose your phone, don't have Internet access, or your phone battery dies, the LPR system will still recognise your car and record your parking time. If, for some reason, your eWallet balance is too low when you try to exit, you can still pay using your physical Touch 'n Go card at the exit barrier, as confirmed by the FAQ.
