You've got a computer, smartphone, and tablet, but do you have a keyboard that works with all of them at the same time? That's the concept behind Logitech's Bluetooth Multi-Device Keyboard K480.

The K480 is being billed as "the first desk keyboard designed for use with up to three devices, regardless of computing platform"

The Logitech K480 is a unique Bluetooth keyboard that can connect to three devices simultaneously and allows you to switch between them using a little dial. The devices sit in a trench over the keyboard and you can swap from, say, a computer to a phone to a tablet.

You can easily alternate input for your Bluetooth wireless-enabled desktop machines and handheld devices with a flick of a dial

Just turn the Easy-Switch dial to switch typing between three connected Bluetooth wireless devices.

Yes, the K480 is platform agnostic and can connect to three different Bluetooth wireless devices at once, whether they're Windows, Mac or Chrome OS computers, or Android, Windows, and iOS tablets or smartphones. To switch between devices you simply turn the "Easy-Switch" dial to the desired device and start typing.

"Typing needs have evolved and consumers are computing and texting across multiple screens, often using two or three different operating systems," Logitech executive Charlotte Johs said in a statement.

At USD50 the K480 is an acceptably priced accessory, featuring Logitech's fluorescent styling and has some low-travel chiclet keys

The keyboard also comes in white and has an integrated stand for smartphones and tablets.

It’s so small that it actually looks like a table maker. However, it could be a boon for developers who can easily switch from dev hardware to their main computers and back without KVM switches and other horribly primitive tools. It comes in black and white and is wireless. It should be available later this month.
