The Top E-Commerce Merchant Awards is an annual competition organised by the Selangor Information Technology and E-Commerce Council (SITEC) with the support of Invest Selangor.

Established as a way to honour and reward enterprising, creative, and innovative online merchants as well as a way to get the public acquainted with the faces behind their favourite brands, the awards saw their inaugural run in 2016, where over 70 merchants competed and more than 30,000 people voted for their favourite merchants.

This year's iteration witnessed the participation of over 100 Malaysian-owned online merchants with over 80,000 online votes, all competing against each other for the grand prize of RM10,000 as part of a RM25,000 prize pool
