Shopee Is Entering The Food Delivery Industry And Is Now Hiring ShopeeFood Riders
ShopeeFood is hiring and they are looking for delivery riders in Kuala Lumpur and Selangor to join their team!

Shopee Malaysia has just hinted at its entry into the local food delivery market
Yesterday, 23 June, Shopee Malaysia posted on all its social media accounts that they are currently hiring ShopeeFood riders.
The uniformed post was shared across their Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter accounts, fuelling netizen speculation that ShopeeFood will be launched in Malaysia soon.
They are looking to hire delivery riders from Kuala Lumpur and Selangor
According to the post, applicants must be Malaysian citizens, aged 18 and above, and have a valid blue identity card.
Applicants must also possess a motorcycle licence that is rated P and above, and own a smartphone that supports iOS 10, Android 4.4, or better.
Most importantly, applicants must not have a criminal record with PDRM, and is not suspended or banned on Shopee's platform.
They have also provided a link for people to apply at.
Although there has not yet been any official statement from Shopee Malaysia, these job listings suggest that their food delivery debut will be coming soon
With this move, ShopeeFood will be competing with other delivery services such as GrabFood and foodpanda, among others.
Earlier this year, Shopee launched the new venture in Indonesia, competing against other dominant food delivery services such as Grab and Gojek.
The ShopeeFood app allows consumers to order food, and receive it directly at home, similar to other existing food delivery apps.
However, what sets it apart from the others is the ability to allow users to pay for their meals using their ShopeePay e-wallet. This is especially convenient for Shopee users as they can use ShopeePay across all Shopee-related platforms.
