PLUS Highways Will Have RFID System Starting 1 January 2020
The announcement comes following the recent removal of Touch 'n Go reload services at tolls.

Starting 1 January 2020, you will be able to pay for open-toll PLUS highways using the Radio Frequency Identification System (RFID)
PLUS Malaysia made the announcement together with CIMB Group on Monday, 11 November.
The new move will allow customers to link their RFID tags to any of their bank accounts, debit cards, or credit cards instead of just their Touch 'n Go (TnG) e-wallet
It will be an alternative payment method to the TnG card.
Open-toll system highway plazas charge for travelling on a specific section of the highway, while closed-toll system plazas calculate based on the exit points.
According to the statement, RFID services will be available for all 83 PLUS closed system toll plazas by April 2020.
The announcement comes following the recent removal of PLUS TnG reload services at its tolls
PLUS Malaysia Berhad revealed that congestion at all central toll plazas was reduced by 48.2% since the removal of the TnG reload services in August last year.
As of September, there was a drop from 42,500 cars to 22,000 cars with an insufficient balance in their TnG cards.
