Maxim has introduced a new feature called 'Auto' for its drivers

Maxim has been listed as a licensed e-hailing provider with the Land Public Transport Agency and is registered under the company AIST Malaysia Sdn Bhd.

Through this new feature, drivers will be able to automatically accept ride requests, helping them fulfil requests faster while reducing waiting times between rides.

The auto assignment tool is expected to increase the daily number of rides ordered

The caveat is that drivers using this feature to seamlessly get new rides will receive a lower commission compared to those who manually accept rides. However, with an expected influx of orders, drivers have the potential to increase their earnings.

The 'Auto' feature is optional for the drivers

The company has not made this a mandatory update to the app, giving drivers the flexibility to toggle it on and off at their discretion.

Maxim director Mohd Hazwan Musley said many drivers have expressed a their desire for this auto-ride-finding feature to increase their earnings and receive trips in close proximity.

Other e-hailing companies are also incorporating this feature into their driver apps

Besides Maxim, Grab also offers an optional auto-accept feature for its drivers, who receive a 20% commission for each ride.
