Nokia Is Developing A 'Selfie' Focused Phone Codenamed 'Superman'
According to the latest rumor, Nokia (well, Microsoft) will make taking selfies the focal point (sorry) of a future Lumia smartphone release.

However, if a new report is to be believed, Nokia might change this paradigm with its upcoming selfie focused Windows Phone device, believed to be dubbed Nokia 'Superman'.

This New Phone Will Reportedly Sport A 5 Megapixel Front Camera
Designed to sit in the existing Lumia range, the Nokia Superman upgrades the front-facing camera to a high resolution five-megapixel sensor capable of Full HD video recording and print-resolution stills.
Expected to be one of the first new phones to launch once Microsoft has fully integrated the handset maker into its business, according to sources that spoke to The Verge, the ‘Superman' is also reported to have a 4.7-inch display and mid-level specs. That should make it easy to hold with one hand for quick self-portraits and easy to afford too.

High megapixel selfie cams are nothing new. They’ve been around on phones sold in Asia for some time, but have only recently started to show up on mainstream hardware in the U.S. and Europe. The HTC One M8 already has a 5-megapixel camera above the screen, as does the Huawei Ascend P6 and Ascend G6, the Lenovo Vibe X, and even the Blu Life Pro.

As for a release date, don't expect to see the phone until at least July when the latest software update for Windows Phones has been released, and when it does arrive, it will have company. At least three other new Microsoft/Nokia handsets are expected to be unveiled before the end of 2014.
