Elon Musk, a.k.a. the Tesla, SpaceX, and Twitter CEO, started his 2023 with a world breaking record for...

Most money lost in a year, woah! :O

According to a press release by Guinness World Records, Musk has reportedly lost approximately USD182 billion (RM795 billion) since November 2021, but certain other sources suggest that it could even reach up to USD200 billion (RM874 billion).

This far surpasses the previous record held by Japanese tech investor Masayoshi Son, who lost USD58.6 billion (RM256 billion) in 2000.

Musk's net worth now amounts to USD138 billion (RM603 billion) as of January 2023, which is a significant drop compared to his USD320 billion (RM1.3 trillion) net worth in 2021

CNN reports that the bulk of Elon's wealth is tied up to Tesla, which had its stocks plunge 65% in 2022.

Despite this, Tesla still remains the most valuable car company in the world with a USD100 billion (RM437 billion) market cap over its closest competitor, Toyota.

The title of richest man in the world is now held by Bernard Arnault, head of the French company that owns Louis Vuitton, with a USD 196.5 billion net worth (RM859 billion)
