How would you like to get a slice of the big boss of AirAsia's time?

To add some spice to the boring morning routine of millions of people who drive to their work, Waze has roped in Tony Fernandes to direct the daily Waze users as Air Traffic Control as the navigate Malaysian roads using his feature voice on Waze.

"A lot of people ask me what it's like being an AirAsia pilot. Now you can experience what it's like to fly high in the sky interacting with me as your air traffic control," Tony said, adding that like the real ATC, he can't make any promises about the congestion, but he can promise to get us there the "quickest and least boring way possible."

So while his airline moves millions of people around the region and beyond every day, now you can drive around, guided by his voice:

To use Tony's voice feature, launch the app, click on Settings, go to the Sound option and choose "English (UK) - Tony Fernandes"

Waze Malaysia Sales Manager, Edward Ling, meanwhile, is thrilled

"We're thrilled to bring Tony Fernandes's voice to Waze, guiding Wazers along a route from tower control. Voice prompts are one of our most popular features and a great way to bring a brand to life within the context of a drive. Tony's voice navigations will make him your co-pilot on any route, making you feel like you're flying while you are driving."

Meanwhile, Waze has published the results of its annual Driver Satisfaction Index which are based on millions of monthly active Waze users in 38 countries and 235 cities and guess which city is ranked the best city to drive in Malaysia:
