Awhile back, a video of a Syrian refugee tripped by a Hungarian camerawoman while carrying his son went viral

Osama Abdul Mohsen was running through a field close to the Hungarian border, carrying his eight-year-old son, Zaid, when he was tripped by camerawoman Petra Laszlo. The video of the incident sparked international outrage and Laszlo was fired by her network.

The camerawoman, Petra Laszlo who works for Hungarian news site N1TV has been fired. She's also facing possibly jail time for her actions.

Petra Laszlo is now set to face a criminal investigation over her shocking assaults, which she carried out while filming Syrian refugees as they fled across a field on the Hungarian-Serbian border. Laszlo has also been fired from her job at Hungarian news site N1TV, which is run by the anti-immigration far-right Jobbik party.

Cristiano Ronaldo was accompanied onto the Bernabeu pitch by a young refugee prior to last night's game between Real Madrid and Granada. Zaid Mohsen was the Portuguese superstar's mascot, the son of a refugee who was made famous when he was tripped up by a Hungarian journalist.

As he walked onto the pitch with Ronaldo who wore a T-shirt showing support to the refugees, he was greeted with a thunderous applause from the fans at the 81,000 capacity Bernabau Stadium!

In a wonderful show of support, Zaid accompanied Ronaldo before kickoff when Madrid took on Granada and received plenty of applause from the Bernabeu crowd.

All of the Real players wore T-shirts showing support for the refugees. The Spanish club has announced it will donate 1 million euros ($1.13 million) to ease their plight.

The Syrian refugee tripped up by a Hungarian news reporter has been given a tour at Real Madrid's famous Bernebeu stadium after being invited by club president Florentino Perez. In addition to a tour of the club stadium and museum the trio were allowed to walk out onto the pitch and visit the dressing rooms, where youngster "Zied posed for a photograph alongside the locker belonging to his idol, Cristiano Ronaldo".
