Malaysia's U-19 Football Team Cleans Up Their Dressing Room After Beating Cambodia 2-0

As the global football community maintains their gaze on Russia for the FIFA 2018 World Cup, our boys from the U-19 squad have quietly made their mark at the Asian Football Federation (AFF) U-19 Championship by beating Cambodia 2-0
Malaysia was in cruise control against the Cambodians at the Gelora Joko Samudro Stadium in Indonesia, during their opening game in the tournament which will run from 1-14 July.
Kedah FA’s rising star Akhyar Rashid scored the opener while Shivan Pillay put in the second, FourFourTwo reported.
Inspired by the Japanese's display of class, the team cleaned up their dressing room after the game and left it fresh and spotless
On his Instagram account, U-19 assistant head coach Hairuddin Omar posted an image of the spick-and-span dressing room yesterday with a caption that reads, "To build the discipline of players outside and inside the field... Japanese inspired….Congrats guys… Keep it up. Still a long way to go."
The photo garnered positive reactions from many netizens who commended the team and coaching staff for their exemplary behaviour
The U-19 squad is pitted in Group B against Cambodia, Brunei, Timor Leste, and Myanmar. They will be going up against Brunei today, 6 July, before facing Timor Leste this Sunday.
Head coach Bojan Hodak has hopes of getting the team into the semi-finals despite knowing how physically demanding the competition can be.
"According to the group stages, our target should be a semi-final spot, but once we reach the knockout stages anything can happen. But looking at quality, we are better than most teams, as long as we play our game," he said as quoted by The Star Online.
