India's Lakshya Sen Stuns Defending Champion Lee Zii Jia To Storm Into All England Final

The Malaysian shuttler found it hard to outsmart the 20-year-old Indian during the gruelling match.

Indian shuttler Lakshya Sen has stormed into the All England Open 2022 final after he defeated defending champion Lee Zii Jia in their semi-final stage on Saturday night, 19 March at the Arena Birmingham

The rising Indian star, having beaten current Olympic Champion Viktor Axelsen at German Open only a few days back, stunned Malaysia's Lee to reach his maiden final at the All England Championships.

Lee, who in his match last night against Japan's world number two player Kento Momota had delivered one of his best performances in recent months, found it hard to outsmart Sen.

While Lee held his own, Sen outwitted him 21-13, 12-21, 21-19 during the gruelling match.

Prior to the match, Lee had complimented Sen for his good form

The Malaysian shuttler had also said that Sen will be a top player in future.

Sen is now only the fifth Indian shuttler to reach the final of the All England Open Badminton Championships. He faces either Viktor Axelsen or Chou Tien Chen in the final.
