Retired Olympic champ Michael Phelps has been knocked off the record board by a kid with a superhero name
Clark Kent Apuada, a 10-year-old boy nicknamed "Superman" for obvious reasons, clocked 1:09:38 during a 100-meter butterfly event at the Far West International Championship in California over the weekend.
His time is more than a second better than Phelps' 1:10:48 record set in 1995, CNN reported.
Clark is not just a superhero in the pool though.
Just like DC's Clark Kent who moonlights as a journalist when not donning a cape, he also juggles multiple responsibilities.
"He does piano lessons, he does martial arts, and at school if there's a computer class, coding, or STEM programs he's always joining," his father, Chris Apuada, said during an interview with CNN.
Young Clark is totally fine with his busy schedule.
"I deal with it really well, I just have to balance."
