A woman recently shared how she saves money for her family each month while managing her husband's RM1,500 salary
In an anonymous post on Facebook page Warga Wilayah, the woman detailed how she manages her family's monthly expenses as a B40 household living in a People's Housing Program (PPR) flat.
She shared that she is a full-time housewife, her husband is the sole breadwinner, and they have three children.
The post amazed many, as she managed to save money every month despite a limited budget
The woman listed their expenses, including RM124 for rent, RM400 for food and kitchen necessities, RM70 for utilities such as electricity and water, RM70 for an Internet package, RM92 for their children's school allowance (only RM1 per child daily, supplemented by the school's RMT programme), RM100 for petrol, and a RM100 allowance for each of their parents.
She added that she saves money by breastfeeding and using cloth pampers for her baby, which she washes and reuses.
The woman said she manages to save RM200 to RM250 every month, using the savings to purchase things for their home, including a Perodua Kancil, two motorcycles, a fridge, a washing machine, furniture, and occasionally clothes for special occasions.
