Man Criticised For Giving Raya Hamper To Policemen On Duty

Shared by over 4807 people, reports of a 23-year-old DJ gifting four policemen with a hamper while they were on duty during the Raya holidays went viral on social media over the weekend

However, the post has attracted both bad and good publicity with some netizens having misjudged this man's act of kindness alleging it was a sign of bribery since it happened during a roadblock

There were even a few that questioned the man's motives for posting a selfie with the policeman implying that good deeds need not be publicised

Several users have come to Victor's rescue slamming others for insulting this noble act with one even reminding others there was a thin line between bribery and a gift

Victor has moved on to clear the air on social media by expressing his true intentions behind the post which was to spread the good message among friends, and NOT create attention!

After a quick call to the Putrajaya Police Headquarters, we were made aware that it isn't wrong to offer a policeman a gift or hamper while on duty, UNLESS the gift was used to escape a criminal act or was in connection with it
