PAS Says They'll Take Over Putrajaya In GE15 After PH Helps Settle Country’s Debt

In a viral YouTube video, Malaysian Islamic Party (PAS)'s vice president Datuk Mohd Amar Nik Abdullah said he wanted the new government to clean up the RM1 trillion debt before taking Putrajaya in five years' time
Malaysiakini reported Mohd Amar as saying that he wants to watch the new government solve Malaysia's debt before taking over Putrajaya in the next general election.
"We can't govern Malaysia with such a huge debt. (Let them) take first, we'll take over Malaysia in five years," he was quoted as saying by Malaysiakini.
The video was reportedly taken on 18 May when he was giving a lecture.
Mohd Amar used Barisan Nasional (BN)'s 12-year reign in Kelantan as an example
The Star reported him as saying that it was under BN's rule that Kelantan experienced most of its developments.
PAS lost the state to BN in 1978, before retaking it in 1990.
"God is smart, within 12 years... He allowed others to rule and to develop... until the state is ready for us to return to power," Mohd Amar was quoted as saying by The Star.
"We can use what they prepared. So, we'll give them five years to solve the problems," he added.
