[VIDEO] Elephant Stuck In Mud In Pahang Gets Saved By PERHILITAN And We're All Cheering!

On Wednesday, 29 May, the Department of Wildlife and National Parks Peninsular Malaysia (Perhilitan) uploaded a one-minute and 29-second long time-lapse video on its Facebook page

The short clip showed Perhilitan personnel using a JCB excavator to rescue a female elephant stuck in a pool of mud in Lesong Forest Reserve in Rompin, Pahang.

At the time of writing this story, the video has been viewed more than 80K times, with over 1,200 shares and hundreds of comments from people thanking Perhilitan.

In the now viral video, the elephant is seen losing her balance in the mud a few times. However, the animal is eventually freed with the help of the excavator with Perhilitan personnel cheering her on

Perhilitan said that its Personnel from Pahang rushed to the spot after it received a report on the elephant being trapped in mud

"The elephant was successfully taken out and released back to its habitat," the Department of Wildlife and National Parks Peninsular Malaysia wrote on its Facebook post on Wednesday while thanking the public for their concern for the animal.
