A video of a snake falling from the bonnet of a red Perodua Aruz on Karak Highway has gone viral on social media
In the 25-second video, around the 10 second mark, a large snake can be seen falling from under the moving car onto the highway.
The cold-blooded reptile is then run over by the same Perodua Aruz before slithering away.
It is unknown if the driver of the car was aware of the snake's presence in the car
According to Kosmo!, the incident happened a day before Hari Raya on Karak Highway leading to the East Coast Expressway (LDP).
At the time of writing, the video has garnered more than 316,000 views.
Several eagle-eyed netizens shared in the comments that the snake appears to be of the cobra species
Others took pity on the snake, especially after it got run over by the car
