Video Shows Education Minister Sneaking Into A Classroom For A Spot Check

It was a primary school in his constituency.

Member of Parliament for Simpang Renggam and Education Minister Dr. Maszlee Malik was filmed sneaking into a classroom in SK Simpang Renggam for a spot check recently

According to China Press, Maszlee wanted to see how teachers were doing in class upon returning to his constituency.

Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (PPBM) Armada's Information Chief, Ulya Husamudin also wrote in a Facebook post that Maszlee wanted to check on the situation of the school. 

After being caught in the classroom, Maszlee was seen being friendly and respectful to the teacher

He stood up and told the teacher the reason for his surprise visit, before sitting down and paying attention in class.

Maszlee also interacted with the students after class

Maszlee joined students who were having their lunch, and mixed around with some others as well.

Netizens praised Maszlee's surprise visit to the school, and expressed trust in his competency as the Education Minister

One netizen suggested Maszlee to make surprise visits to Chinese and Tamil schools as well.

"Problems with schools can only be known with surprise visits like this," another netizen wrote, before commending the Education Minister for his move.
