A 30-second video showing a bully victim fighting back at his religious school in Pasir Puteh, Kelantan has gone viral

The video, which was posted on Twitter on Wednesday night, 20 November, has been viewed close to two million times with over 47,000 retweets at the time of writing.

The 14-year-old victim, who appears dejected, is seen sitting on the floor with his back against the wall as his suspected bullies are seen taunting him.

While one of them hits the victim with a notebook, another one covers his head with a schoolbag and lands a kick. The victim is then repeatedly kicked and punched by the two boys.

This goes on until the 19-second mark in the video when the victim decides that he has had enough and gets up to grab hold of one of his bullies and drags him down from his chair.

The victim fights back by grabbing his bully by the throat to pin him down on the floor. He is then seen landing a combo of multiple punches and kicks on the bully, throwing him out of the video frame.

Following the incident, the victim lodged a police report against the bullies at the Pasir Puteh district police headquarters, claiming that he had been bullied by his classmates for refusing to do their schoolwork

According to a Bernama report, Kelantan deputy police chief Abdullah Muhammad Piah said that the 14-year-old boy was assaulted when he refused to obey his classmates' instructions.

"Unable to withstand the assault, the victim reacted by attacking one of the suspects," he said.

The police then arrested 10 of the classmates to record their statements for investigation under section 147 of the Penal Code, but all of them have since been released on police bail, reported Bernama.

This isn't the first time the victim was assaulted

The victim's father, Mohd Khairul Anuar Razak, said that it was the second time his son had been bullied by his classmates at the religious school.

Bernama reported the 40-year-old father saying that the first incident happened earlier this year but he did not lodge a report and had settled the matter amicably with the school.

I did not think the incident would happen again.
