[VIDEO] Drivers Praised For Escorting A Sleepy Lorry Driver Safely Off The Highway
Other drivers honked at the sleepy driver to wake him up but they watched as the lorry continued swerving.

A one-minute TikTok showing several drivers who escorted a sleepy lorry driver from Bukit Tagar, Selangor to Tanjung Malim, Perak on the North-South Expressway went viral recently
In the video, shared in the Perak Press Facebook group, the lorry driver can be seen swerving dangerously from the left lane to the middle lane several times.
The man who uploaded the TikTok mentioned in the video's captions and comments section that other transport vehicles repeatedly honked at the driver to try to wake him up.
However, the driver seemed to still be struggling to stay awake as he continued swerving between lanes.
A red lorry can also be seen driving on the right side of the sleepy driver's vehicle to ensure he stays in his lane.
The man who posted the video also added that those on the road helped escort the sleepy driver because they did not want any unfortunate incidents to happen
The man also mentioned that the driver almost collided with a divider.
It is shown at the end of the video that the sleepy lorry driver finally entered a rest stop
"Thank you dear lorries and buses, especially the red lorry who escorted [the driver] to Tanjung Malim," the TikTok user wrote in the video.
Netizens praised the transporters for escorting the tired driver and keeping road users safe
One TikTok user commented, "It is not an easy task as a driver of a heavy vehicle delivering supplies. Fatigue is our greatest enemy. Thank you bro."
"Brother! Thank you! May God be good to you! You have saved many lives," another added.
"It's so great, everyone came to help save the lives of other drivers. Thank you to the lorry drivers responsible," one Facebook user praised.
Another netizen added, "Thank you to those who willingly escorted from behind. May God always protect you and keep you safe in this world and the hereafter."
There were others who expressed sympathy for the sleepy driver, saying that there should be a place for lorry drivers to rest in the midst of transport.
"When they go to an R&R to rest, the R&R is full. When they park on the roadside, the traffic police would fine them. When there is an accident, the driver is at fault. You're trapped in an impossible situation," said one netizen.
One TikTok user commented, "Oh my God, what a pity. Stopping at the side of the road would get you fined, I really don't understand. Hopefully, it will get easier."
