In a video posted on Tuesday, 8 March, TikTok user @judedina_ shared footage of the man with walking difficulties approaching a puddle of stagnant floodwaters.

In the comments section of @judedina_'s video, many netizens lauded the man's action, while some criticised government officials for their lacklustre response to the floods

"This is the best, bro. We should reduce the Kuala Lumpur City Council (DBKL) director's salary by half and give it to him (the man). Taking blind salary and doing nothing at the office," a TikTok user said.

"Make this video viral. Let those who are responsible feel ashamed. Wasted our votes on them just to let them sit under the air-conditioner and do nothing. Million of salutes to (the man)," commented another netizen.

Thousands of comments thanked the man for unclogging the drain hole.
