Following which, AirAsia and AirAsia X have issued a travel advisory for all its passengers to follow for a hassle-free holiday experience. As it's a holiday season, there will be a surge in the number of passengers travelling during this period.

If you are travelling by AirAsia, you should arrive at the airport at least 3 hours prior to scheduled time of departure and at least 4 hours earlier for AirAsia X flights if you want to avoid the congestion and clear all travel formalities.

Below is a list of things you should follow/take note of:

1. You should self check-in

AirAsia has reminded its passengers to conduct self-check-in via either the website, mobile app or check-in kiosks for a smoother journey at the airport.

Check-in is possible 14 days before the flight date and 1 hour before departure time for all AirAsia flights, and up to 4 hours before departure time for all AirAsia X flights.

Self Check-in kiosks and Self Bag Tag are fully operational at klia2.

5. One cabin bag per single flier

Each flier (except infants) is only allowed to carry ONE cabin bag AND one laptop bag or handbag on the aircraft. While the weight of the two bags allowed should not exceed 7kg, the cabin bag should not exceed dimensions 56 x 36 x 23cm.

Additionally, AirAsia has advised all its fliers to pre-book sufficient baggage weight for more savings.

You can log on to ‘Manage My Booking’ to add more baggage weight allocation up to 4 hours before the scheduled time of departure or via the AirAsia mobile app.

6. Pre-book your Santan Combo Meals online

It is recommended to pre-book online Santan Combo Meals at only RM10 for AirAsia (AK) flights and RM15 for AirAsia X (D7) flights, as increased demand during this period may result in insufficient meals available for onboard purchases.
