2 Earthquakes Hit Sabah's Ranau District In The Span Of 2 Hours

Tremors were felt in areas within the district.

The Malaysian Meteorological Department (METMalaysia) recently recorded two earthquakes in Ranau, Sabah

According to the official Twitter account of METMalaysia, the first earthquake took place at 11.10pm on 18 April.

The temblor measured 2.8 on the Richter Scale. It occurred at a depth of 10km, about 11km west of Ranau.

Meanwhile, the second earthquake occurred two hours after the first, at 1.05am on 19 April

It measured 2.7 on the Ritcher Scale at a depth of 13km.

This time, it took place 14km west of Ranau district.

It is reported that tremors were felt in areas within the district

On Facebook, METMalaysia assured that they will be monitoring the situation.
