Turkish Game Company Pays Tribute To Fallen Mexican Rescue Dog Proteo In The Sweetest Way
Forever known as a hero and a good boy.

A Mexican military German Shepherd by the name of Proteo, died over the weekend in Adiyaman, Turkiye, while searching for survivors of the earthquake disaster that struck Turkiye and Syria on 6 February
The four-legged hero was killed by collapsing rubble during a search and rescue (SAR) operation.
Proteo's death was mourned by many, including its own Mexican rescue team, which held a procession on Sunday, 12 February, to mourn and pay homage to the heroic canine that sacrificed its life for others.
The German Shepherd reportedly saved two lives since arriving in Turkiye.

"You accomplished your mission... thank you for your heroic work. You were always a strong, hard-working dog who never gave up. I will always remember you," a rescuer, who worked alongside Proteo, said.
Aside from the Mexican military mourning the canine's death, Turkish-based game development team, Nyctophile Studios, added a little easter egg in the latest development of their video game, Death Relives
It was none other than a small statue of Proteo, standing atop pieces of rubble.
The game developers added the statue in the gameplay as a way to pay tribute to the German Shepherd's contributions to saving earthquake victims.
"We are very grateful [for] your doings, Proteo. You will be immortal in our Death Relives game because we will keep you alive forever," the studio wrote in a tweet.
