Tun M Says He Is No Longer Taking The Education Portfolio

He said it in an interview posted on PPBM's Facebook page today.

In a short video posted on Facebook by Parti Pribumi BERSATU Malaysia (PPBM), Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad revealed that he is no longer taking the Education Ministry portfolio

He is doing this to honour the pledge made in the Pakatan Harapan's manifesto.

"I cannot break (the Pakatan Harapan manifesto pledge) at the moment," Tun Dr Mahathir says in the video, adding that, "unless, of course, there is a demand that I take up the Education portfolio"

In the video, he is also heard saying that he won't be passing the portfolio on to Deputy Prime Minister Dr Wan Azizah as she already has her own portfolio.

According to the PH manifesto, the Prime Minister "will not hold other ministerial posts, especially the post of Minister of Finance"
