Toll Booth Operator Narrowly Escapes When 28-Tonne Trailer Crashes Into Booth

She only suffered minor injuries on her waist.

Yesterday, 21 June, a toll booth operator had a close call when a 28-tonne trailer crashed into a toll booth she was working in

According to Bernama, the 48-year-old victim only suffered minor injuries from the crash.

The incident took place at 12.40pm at the Ayer Keroh Toll Plaza in Melaka.

According to Melaka Traffic Enforcement and Investigation chief Supt Hasan Basri Yahya, the trailer that hit the booth was loaded with oil palm bunches from Tangkak, Johor

Hasan said that the 49-year-old driver in his trailer was leaving the booth after paying the toll fare. 

At which point, a part of the trailer hit the last booth and it collapsed and fell on the victim who was on duty.

Bernama reported that the driver did not sustain any injuries and no other vehicles were involved in the accident

"The 48-year-old woman escaped with minor injuries at the waist and was taken by a passing motorist to the Malacca Hospital," Hasan said.
