Fall From 4th Floor Leaves Toddler Dead And 6-Year-Old Sister Seriously Injured

A three-year-old child was killed after she and her sister allegedly fell from their home on the fourth floor

Astro Awani reported that accident took place around 5.30pm on Tuesday, 28 January at a teachers' quarters in Gombak, Kuala Lumpur.

The mother had just returned from work when she found her two children sprawled in an open area of the building

Gombak district police chief ACP Arifai Tarawe said that she rushed the two children to Selayang Hospital with help from the neighbours.

According to Malaysiakini, the three-year-old was then pronounced dead by the doctor.

Meanwhile, the other victim, a six-year-old, suffered a broken hand and leg.

Police investigations found that the two children were left under the care of their father when the incident happened

He had left the siblings inside the house before going out, as reported by Berita Harian.

Further investigation is currently being carried out under Section 31(1) of the Child Act 2001.
