A Grab passenger in Singapore was recently moved by the thoughtful setup in her driver's car, which was stocked with snacks, bottled water, and other small comforts for his passengers

In a Facebook post, American expat Heather Hansen shared her delightful experience after getting into the driver's car.

Hanging behind the front seats were shelves filled with treats — snacks for kids on one side, and goodies for adults on the other.

"He had thought of everything!" she wrote, noting how the thoughtful touches extended beyond just food, as there were also charging cables, tissues, a mini fan, a trash bin, and even fresh potted plants in the back.

As she helped herself to some sweets, Hansen struck up a conversation with the friendly driver, who shared stories and life advice throughout the ride

She said the conversation quickly turned into a heartwarming exchange of wisdom.

The Grab driver told her that "simple living, not thinking so much, and staying humble" has been his motto to living a better life.

"He had given up his corporate job to find happiness as a Grab driver because he really likes to drive, and said, 'We need to have passion for our work and what makes us happy'," she wrote.

More of his memorable quotes included:

- "Downgrade your house, downgrade your career, downgrade your lifestyle."

- "Stay humble. Always be number two. That way, you stay safe. Everyone chases number one."

Hansen's post, shared on 27 May, quickly went viral, amassing over 1,100 likes and countless comments praising the driver's kindness, humility, and refreshing take on life

In a follow-up interview with The Straits Times, the driver, Pang Tze Wei shared that he spends around SGD60 (RM198) a week to restock his car with the small snacks, candies, and bottled water.

He also explained that he started offering these items as a result of observing what his passengers might need after getting into his car over the years.
