"There Might Be A New Inmate Coming In" - Anwar 'Offers' His Sungai Buloh Cell To Najib

Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim appeared in Rantau on a campaign trail yesterday, 4 April, in conjunction with the 20th anniversary of Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR)
According to Facebook user Zulimran Nasution, Anwar delivered a 20-minute speech during the by-election ceramah last night.
Government leaders including Lim Kit Siang and Gobind Singh Deo were also present at the scene.
During his speech, Anwar took a jab at embattled former premier Datuk Seri Najib Razak, whose trial began two days ago
"I treated almost 250 Sungai Buloh prison officers to dinner at my house and I asked them if my cell was still empty. They said yes," the PKR president was quoted as saying by Malaysiakini.
"I asked them to clean it up because there might be a new inmate coming in," he added.
Malaysiakini reported that the audience then replied with shouts of "Bossku".
The Port Dickson Member of Parliament (MP) also urged people to reject Najib
"Here (in Rantau), people still want to see (him) even though he took billions of ringgit," Anwar said, according to New Straits Times.
The PKR president stressed that the government's challenge is to help Malaysians realise that they were cheated in the past, and they are being cheated now.
"Do not idolise someone who robbed the country of its wealth," Anwar said.
The Rantau by-election is set to take place on 13 April
The by-election was triggered by a Federal Court decision to dismiss the win by Barisan Nasional's Mohamad Hasan.
Mohamad had won the seat uncontested in the 14th General Election after PKR candidate Dr. S. Streram was denied entry into the nomination centre for not having an Election Commission (EC) pass.
