In a Bernama report published on Wednesday, The Election Commission of Malaysia (EC) is introducing a procedure called "finger massage" to prevent fraud during the 14th general election

The "finger massage" procedure will enable the polling station clerks to examine voters' fingers more carefully to ensure they did not wear gloves or had ink stains on them, Bernama reported

EC General Election Academy Registrar Nik Aminudin Nik Shahar Shah, whom Bernama quoted in its report, said that the "clerk on duty will wear gloves to check the fingers of the voters before they are allowed to dip their finger in the indelible ink bottle."

"We are taking this measure as there are now many artificial finger gloves. At the same time, it is to further improve the procedures in the voting process to prevent any fraud," Bernama quoted him as saying at the RTM Auditorium in Kuantan.

Additionally, while media personnel were briefed on the electoral system in the country, the EC General Election Academy also simulated the complete polling and ballot counting process which will be conducted at polling centres throughout Malaysia
