Two landowners were shocked to find that their ex-tenant left their property in an appalling state after she moved out

According to a TikTok video uploaded on Sunday, 11 December, by @misiteratai, the landowners visited their double-storey house to survey its condition after the previous tenant moved out.

When they arrived at the house, they were hit with the overwhelming stench of cat and rat urine in the porch area.

But the horrors didn't stop there. Because, when they entered the house, they found black stains that looked like animal faeces, littered in one corner of the room.

"The whole house smelled awful," Misiteratai said.

As the landowners ventured further inside, they discovered more animal faeces at the bottom of the cupboards under the kitchen sink.

According to the caption displayed in the TikTok video, when asked why she left the kitchen cupboards in such a state, the tenant said that it was because she hadn't swept under there for three days.

Proceeding upstairs to the second floor of the house, Misiteratai discovered that the tenant had gone as far as destroying components of the house

As she got to the second floor, the landlady found switches ripped out of the wall, causing lights to go faulty and the air-conditioning unit to be left on.

The irresponsible tenant also left the doors and shelves of a cupboard ripped out, leaving the unit bare.

There were also other non-descript items strewn along the corridor of the second floor.

According to the video's caption, the tenant was allegedly unhappy with the rent being increased by the landowners

Misiteratai explained in the caption that the tenant had agreed to pay a rent of RM400 per month for the double-storey housing unit. However, due to bank interest rates increasing, the owners decided to increase the monthly rental to RM450 per month.

Unhappy with this arrangement, the tenant began to delay her monthly payments to the landowners, claiming that she made a mistake by overpaying the rental amount and continuing to give other excuses.

When the landowners continued to pester her about paying her rent on time, the tenant began to threaten them instead.

Clearly no longer on good terms with each other, the tenant left the house keys in the mailbox of the house, unable to meet the houseowners face-to-face to do so.

Many netizens were shocked at the monthly rental of the property, with many saying that the tenant should have been grateful to live in a double-storey house at that price

One netizen jumped in and said that landowners tend to be taken advantage of when they show "too much kindness" to their tenants. As the saying goes, no good deed ever goes unpunished.
