SPM Student Brings 5A's Result Slip To Father, Mother, And Brother's Graves
Muhammad Faiz Qudry lost both parents and became an orphan at the age of 9.
A secondary school graduate recently went viral after posting a video of his SPM result slip next to his late father, mother, and brother's graves, touching the hearts of over a million netizens
In a TikTok video posted last week, Muhammad Faiz Qudry marked the completion of his SPM by visiting his family members' final resting places.
"Dad, mum, brother! I got 5A's in SPM!
"Although [the result] isn't much, I am still grateful," he wrote in the post.
At the time of writing, the video has amassed over 1.7 million views, with thousands of comments expressing support and admiration for his resilience.

Speaking to SAYS, Faiz shared that if he had the chance to speak to his family, he would tell them that he would continue striving to be the best in their honour
"Umi, Ayah, Adik, I've successfully completed school! And I will keep striving to be the best for all of you.
"I miss you dearly. Thank you for all the kindness you've shown throughout our time together. I love you all," said the student.
In another TikTok post, said it didn’t matter that he had no graduation photos with his family on stage, as he still treasured the photos he had with them.
To him, the SPM result is his way of telling his family members, "I didn't give up."
"I got 5 A's in SPM. It may not be much, but I am proud — not because of the results, but because I managed to finish my SPM without your love and presence. I struggled and pushed myself to achieve what you wanted for me, but this is all I could do. I'm sorry.
"Today was supposed to be a happy day, and you should have been here, ayah and umi. But it's okay — I still made sure to visit you," he wrote.
When asked what motivated him to study for his school-leaving exam, Faiz said he wanted to fulfil his late parents' wish of seeing him go to university
"Even though they never got the chance to witness it, I am still fighting for that dream.
"I was once encouraged to enrol in a tahfiz school, but I chose a regular secondary school instead because I preferred it. As a way to make up for that decision, I was determined to achieve the best possible results," he said when contacted.
His passion for studying grew while preparing for SPM, inspiring him to pursue a career in teaching. Faiz now hopes to further his education at the Institute of Teacher Education (IPG).
In 2014, Faiz's father, Ridzuan Ahmad, died of a lung infection when Faiz was 7 years old
He told SAYS that his father worked at Telaga Biru, a publishing company that produces Islamic educational materials, before passing away at 41.
His death led Faiz and his family to relocate from Damansara, Petaling Jaya to Mentakab, Pahang.
Two years later, his 5-year-old brother, who had a disability, succumbed to a high fever. That same month, his mother, Zuraini Izhab @ Baharom, died of a heart attack, reported Harian Metro.
Faiz's story of being orphaned has previously been highlighted in news articles.
