Singapore is no longer Asia's happiest country, according to the World Happiness Report 2025

Taiwan surpassed Singapore, securing the 27th spot in the world, based on the report published yesterday, 20 March.

Singapore dropped from 30th to 34th place compared to last year's ranking.

Malaysia also saw a decline in the rankings, dropping from 59th in the 2024 report to 64th this year.๏ปฟ

The rankings for Southeast Asian nations are as follows:
1. Singapore: 34th
2. Vietnam: 46th
3. Thailand: 49th
4. The Philippines: 57th
5. Malaysia: 64th
6. Indonesia: 83rd
7. Cambodia: 124th
8. Myanmar: 126th

Brunei, Laos, and Timor-Leste were not included in the report.

The rankings were based on average self-assessments from over 100,000 respondents worldwide, collected over a three-year period

The report evaluated six factors: GDP per capita, healthy life expectancy, social support, freedom, generosity, and corruption.

Finland remains the world's happiest country for the eighth consecutive year, followed by Denmark, Iceland, Sweden, and the Netherlands.
