SG Man Jailed After Evading Urine Test, Throwing Baby At Police & Abusing Wife
He has been sentenced to 17 months' jail for a total of three different offences.

A man in Singapore was recently sentenced to jail for three different offences
The offences include domestic abuse, throwing his infant child at the police while evading arrest, and not reporting for a urine test while under a drug supervision order.
According to The Straits Times, the 40-year-old man was sentenced to 17 months' jail on Monday, 26 July.
He had pleaded guilty to offences including one count each of ill-treating a child and assaulting his wife.
Meanwhile, CNA reported that the man was not represented by a lawyer, and in mitigation, said that he had learnt his lesson and would not do it again.
His sentence was backdated to 30 March when he was first remanded.
In 2019, he was wanted by the police for failing to present himself for a urine test at the Jurong Police Divisional Headquarters
In January 2020, the man went to a police station with his wife and two children to lodge a report on a traffic accident.
The Straits Times noted that SGT Tan Wei Kang registered and screened the man's particulars.
The system then produced a result which states that the man, who has a history of drug abuse, was wanted by the authorities for skipping a urine test under the Central Narcotics Bureau and a police gazette had been issued against him.
Tan then discreetly lodged a report and requested for backup officers to be sent to the police post. He tried to act as if nothing was out of the ordinary and continued to process the man's accident report.
DPP Phoebe Tan told the news outlet, "The accused sensed that something was amiss, as he had noticed SGT Tan using his phone and observed the officer's body language. He suspected that the police realised that he was 'wanted' and formed the intention to run away."
The man's wife later told SGT Tan that she needed to use the toilet. She handed her two-month-old baby to her husband and another police officer escorted her to the restroom.
The husband then suddenly stood up while carrying his daughter and said that she "needed some fresh air".
SGT Tan along with another officer, SGT Mohamed Nasrudin Shahul Hameed, followed the man outside.
When they asked him to stop walking, he swung his daughter with one hand and threw her in the air towards SGT Tan.
The officer caught the baby and the man was nabbed after a chase.
The following year, in January 2021, the offender's wife called the police on him as he attacked her while drunk in their home
He was drinking alcohol and entered his bedroom past midnight, reported CNA.
When his wife asked him to drink in the living room as she and the children were sleeping, the man refused and an argument ensued.
The intoxicated man slapped his wife four to six times, punched her head twice, and pushed her cheek so that her head hit the metal frame of a sofa.
The assault occurred in front of their children.
The woman tried to call the police but she struggled as her husband tried to take the phone away.
The phone operator on the line heard the commotion in the background and police officers were dispatched to the scene.
