Form 2 Student Falls 10 Metres From School Pedestrian Bridge And Fractures Pelvis

Police rushed the Form 2 student to a hospital for treatment of her serious injuries.

A 14-year-old student fell from a 10-metre tall pedestrian bridge while at school in Kemaman, Terengganu on Monday morning, 30 May

According to Utusan Malaysia, the incident happened around 7.30am after the student finished Yasin recital in the morning and was heading to another academic block of her school.

Kemaman district police chief Supt Hanyan Ramlan said that the student used the pedestrian bridge in question because it connects to the other academic block across the road.

Hanyan added that upon receiving the report, an officer went straight to the location and sent the victim to Kemaman Hospital's emergency unit

"An in-depth investigation is still in progress therefore we ask for the cooperation of the public to not make any speculations on the incident," he said.

As of writing, the student was reported to have fractured parts of her pelvis and is currently receiving treatment at Kemaman Hospital, according to Harian Metro.

Authorities have yet to provide any details as to how the student fell from the bridge.
