The 19-year-old was also invited to meet the wife of the Yang di-Pertua Negeri of Sabah, Toh Puan Norlidah R.M. Jasni, at the state palace

Bernama reported that as the advisor of the Nur Jauhar Foundation, Toh Puan Norlidah R.M. Jasni presented Veveonah with donations in the form of cash and basic food supplies.

The student attended the occasion with her parents, Mosibin Makrun and Rofinah Ungo. She said they have served as her role models and driving force to be successful in education so that she can improve the livelihood of her family.

The video of Veveonah sitting for her online examinations in a tree has garnered over 600,000 views since 13 June

Initially, the student planned to sit for her exams in a hut on top of a hill near her village. However, the hut collapsed due to strong winds and heavy rain.
