Robbers In Klang Stop To Ask A Woman For Directions Before Trying To Snatch Her Necklace

A CCTV video dated Tuesday, 2 August, shows two men attempting to rob a woman outside SK Simpang Lima school at Taman Chi Lung, Klang

The 39-year-old mother was seen walking towards the school to pick up her children when two men on a motorcycle approached her to "ask for directions", reported theSun.

Within seconds, one of the robbers was seen lunging towards the victim and trying to pull a necklace off of her neck

Fortunately, the thieves failed in their attempt and sped off quickly.

A passerby was then seen trying to chase the motorcycle down but to no avail as the thieves managed to flee the scene.

The whole incident lasted for about five seconds.

Amidst the scramble, several bystanders, including a female guard, then approached the woman to help her

Shocked by what took place, the victim was captured sitting by the side as a couple of school kids were seen exiting the school.

According to Klang Selatan police chief ACP Shamsul Amar Ramlee, the woman was not hurt and had not suffered any losses from the incident. Police were reported to be currently searching for the suspects.

Within a day, the video of the failed robbery attempt went viral with over 13,000 views.
