Remember How The Government Wanted To Close KL Roads For Mat Rempits? Yeah, It's Happening

To allow Mat Rempits to display their motorcycle "skills."

Back in February, we told you how the government - to counter the growing number of illegal motorcycle racing problem - was mulling over the idea of allowing Mat Rempits to race in KL city at night.

Now The Sun Daily has quoted Federal Territories Deputy Minister Loga Bala Mohan saying that they will proceed with the closure of roads to allow Mat Rempits to display their motorcycle "skills."

In a report by The Sun Daily, Loga Bala Mohan said...

...that the ministry is looking at all the possibilities on how to ensure the event can be done properly and successfully.

"We are also gathering input from all the comments and feedback given by the public on the event to prevent any mishaps or damage to any infrastructure," said Loga, adding that the local councils under the purview of the ministry are currently conducting studies to determine the best location and time to hold such events.

While the road closure will be at the Federal Territories – Kuala Lumpur, Putrajaya, and Labuan –time and location will be determined based on the findings by the councils, he added
