Yesterday, 25 July, PKR vice-president Rafizi Ramli tweeted that he hopes his 16 interns under PKR's KEADILAN internship programme learn that they can make a difference by "sleeping less and working more hours"

Rafizi's tweet attracted many responses from netizens online.

Several argued that his statement not only encourages a "toxic work mentality," but also ignores health risks.

Some pointed out that employers should at least compensate interns if they are expected to work overtime

However, several netizens argued that his clarification, which emphasised on working "efficiently," contradicted his earlier statement on working "more hours."
