Police Looking For COVID-19 Patient Who Ran Away From Tampin Hospital

Police are tracking down a COVID-19 patient who ran away from Tampin Hospital on Wednesday, 30 December
Tampin district police chief Supt Anuwal Ab Wahab said the patient, a 33-year-old man and former Jelebu Prison inmate, was found missing from his hospital bed at about 11.45 am yesterday.
Sinar Harian reported that the patient is believed to have fled from the hospital by a staircase behind the ward, which is commonly only used to discard garbage.
"He was last seen wearing blue jeans and a dark green T-shirt," the police chief told Bernama.
Anuwal urged those with information about the patient, or know his whereabouts, to contact the nearest police station or the Ministry of Health (MOH)
The police said the patient's last known address was in Petaling Jaya, Selangor, and he was admitted to Tampin Hospital on 29 December after he tested positive for the coronavirus.
They also believe the patient has cut off his hospital wristband to avoid detection in public.
