Police To Launch Internal Investigation Into Alleged Misconduct At Serdang Roadblock
The Serdang district police chief stressed that any confirmed misconduct would be met with zero tolerance.
The police is launching an internal investigation into allegations of misconduct involving three traffic police officers during a roadblock in Serdang, Selangor
According to Bernama, a one-minute-19-second video has gone viral on social media, showing three officers at a roadblock near The Mines Shopping Mallο»Ώ, with one appearing to take something from a stopped driver.
The video purportedly shows the officer reaching into his pocket and walking away.
Serdang district police chief ACP AA Anbalagan stated that the investigation aims to determine whether any breach of protocol occurred
"Investigations are being conducted and the Serdang district police headquarters will be uncompromising if misconduct did occur during the roadblock," Anbalagan said in a statement on Saturday, 22 March.
He also advised the public to avoid speculation as it could interfere with the ongoing investigation.
