KL Police Finds Body Of Newborn Baby Dumped By The Road In A Shopping Bag
The baby was believed to had just been born based on the umbilical cord found on the body.

The body of a newborn baby was recently found placed inside a shopping bag and left by the side of the road in Kuala Lumpur
Harian Metro reported that the bag was found at Seksyen 6, Wangsa Maju on Sunday, 26 April.
A witness claimed that around 9.30am, a man and a woman had placed the orange shopping bag on the side of the road before riding off on a motorcycle.
Feeling suspicious, the witness decided to inspect the bag and he then discovered the baby.Police officers and the Kuala Lumpur Hospital (HKL) medical team rushed to the scene and upon inspection, they confirmed that the baby had died
Wangsa Maju OCPD Supt Rajab Ahad Ismail told The Star that the police received a call around 10am.
"Upon investigation, a baby wrapped in cloth was found inside the orange paper bag," he said.
"The baby was believed to had just been born based on the umbilical cord found on the body. It has been sent to the forensics unit at HKL for further investigations."
The case is being investigated under Section 318 of the Penal Code
According to Burgie Law, Section 318 reads, "Whoever, by secretly burying or otherwise disposing of the dead body of a child, whether such child dies before or after or during its birth, intentionally conceals or endeavours to conceal the birth of such child, shall be punished with imprisonment for a term which may extend to two years or with fine or with both."
