A 17-Year-Old Girl Was Arrested For 'Offensive' FB Posts Against The Late Adenan Satem
She is the sixth person to be arrested concerning "offensive" posts about the late CM.

Earlier today, 14 January, police arrested a 17-year-old girl from Mukah in central Sarawak after finding allegedly offensive posts made by her on Facebook against the late Tan Sri Adenan Satem
According to a Bernama report, which cited Sarawak Criminal Investigation Department chief Datuk Dev Kumar, the girl was arrested at 10.45am today by Mukah CID.
Police have also seized her mobile phone for investigation
"Her case is being investigated by Bintulu CID under section 500 of the Penal Code and section 233 of the Communications and Multimedia Act," Dev Kumar said.
According to SAC Dev Kumar, there have been several police reports lodged against the girl over comments she allegedly posted
However, the 17-year-old girl's case in not the only one.
In fact, so far, at least 40 police reports have been lodged in 12 police districts throughout Sarawak against a total of seven Facebook posts against the late Adenan Satem that were deemed offensive, defamatory or inflammatory, Dev Kumar added.
So far, Sarawak police have arrested five individuals
One of them is a 36-year-old man from Kuantan, Pahang, who was arrested on 12 January. The other is a 57-year-old man who was arrested by Kuching police same day.
"We are monitoring social media sites and will not hesitate to arrest anyone posting defamatory or inflammatory comments against the late chief minister or any other person for that matter," SAC Dev Kumar was quoted as saying by Bernama.
Additionally, a Malaysian diplomat was recalled by Wisma Putra after he allegedly posted insulting remarks the late Adenan Satem
Chief Secretary to the government Ali Hamsa confirmed the news, in a reply to a tweet from the Puchong Umno Youth Twitter account, reported Malaysiakini. “The officer has been ordered to return to KL immediately for disciplinary action,” Ali tweeted.
The diplomatic service officer was stationed in the Philippines.
According to The Star Online, he allegedly posted the comments on PM Najib Abdul Razak’s Facebook post about Adenan's passing.
