PJ Plastics Factory Slapped With RM10,000 Fine For Working Over Set Operation Hours
Seven individuals were also fined RM2,000 each.

Last night, 1 June, a plastics factory was fined RM10,000 for operating beyond set hours amidst the two-week-long total lockdown
The nationwide full lockdown, which has also been dubbed the 'full movement control order' (FMCO), is in effect from 1 June to 14 June. For the period, operating hours have been limited for businesses.
The factory, located in Taman Medan, Petaling Jaya, was raided by a team from the Petaling Jaya district police headquarters at 10.45pm on Tuesday.
"The inspection at the factory was carried out after it was found to be in violation of the standard operating procedures (SOPs) of the movement control order (MCO) 3.0 by operating beyond the stipulated time. Following that, we issued a compound against a 41-year-old woman who is the supervisor of the factory," district police chief ACP Mohamad Fakhrudin Abdul Hamid said in a statement earlier today, 2 June.
He said that the supervisor was slapped with RM10,000 fine for offences under Rule 17(2) of the Prevention and Control of Infectious Diseases (Measures Within Infected Local Areas) 2021.
Additionally, seven individuals were fined RM2,000 each
They are workers, aged 18 to 69, who were at the premises during the time of the raid.
All seven of them were compounded under Rule 17(1) for the same offence.
Fakhrudin reminded the management of all industrial sectors to comply with the guidelines set by the National Security Council (MKN) throughout the period of implementation of the MCO.
"Strict action will be taken against the defaulting factory owners," he added.
