YouTube cooking personality S Pavithra has broken her silence about her husband's arrest for assaulting her

According to New Straits Times, the 28-year-old said that she has forgiven her 29-year-old husband, M Sugu, and that they will move forward by focusing on creating content for their YouTube channel.

She added that she and her husband are also refusing any form of recognition or award for now, as they are simply "ordinary people"

"We do not want to accept the 'Ipoh City Icon' award... we do not want that or any other award. We are only ordinary people, and we want to focus on our YouTube channel," she told reporters at the Ipoh Sessions Court after posting bail for her husband today, 24 July.

"We are not deserving of the 'Ipoh City Icon' award as there are so many other talented people out there who are more deserving than us."

"We want to live a normal life like others. We want to focus on our family, that's all. We don't want to be recognised by others. Let us enjoy life like we used to before."
