Patriot: New Coalition Is A Betrayal To People's Mandate
"We are disgusted with this latest turn of political events."

Persatuan Patriot Kebangsaan (Patriot) has slammed the unholy political attempt to form a backdoor government, calling it a "betrayal of the people's mandate"
"We are disgusted with this latest turn of political events," Patriot president Brig-Gen (Rtd) Datuk Mohamed Arshad Raji said in a statement yesterday, 23 February, as reported by theSundaily.
"This is shocking especially barely two days after the Pakatan Harapan Presidential Council had proclaimed the settlement of the issue of premiership succession."

Image via 1MediaMultiple party leaders and Members of Parliament (MPs) met at Sheraton Hotel in Petaling Jaya, where PKR deputy president Azmin Ali and supporters were conducting a meeting earlier yesterday.
"As widely reported, Bersatu and a faction of PKR politicians are trying to form a new government that includes UMNO and PAS," Arshad said, according to Malaysiakini.
However, he added that they will have no part in it.
"Patriot will not support any government formed that includes UMNO and PAS."
"If it is true that the Harapan government has collapsed, like any mature democracy, then the right thing is to dissolve Parliament so that coalition parties can seek a new mandate from the people," Arshad explained.
The new coalition is said to comprise of Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (Bersatu), UMNO, 10 MPs from a PKR splinter faction aligned to Azmin Ali, PAS, Amanah, Warisan, and GPS
According to Malay Mail, PKR president Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim is scheduled to be meeting the Yang di-Pertuan Agong at noon today, 24 February.
