1 Utama Shopping Centre released an official Facebook statement confirming that its Parkson Elite outlet is closed from now until further notice after an Estee Lauder staff had tested positive.

"Swift action has been taken by Parkson to conduct a comprehensive sanitisation exercise, with their store staff undergoing tests as well as 14 days quarantine," reads its statement.

Previously, an employee from Mac City Service Centre located at the mall had also tested positive for COVID-19

In a Facebook statement on 5 October, the management said that the employee had not stepped into their premises since clocking out from work on Wednesday, 30 September.

In a later update, the mall clarified that all those in contact with the employee had tested negative and that the premises have been safely disinfected and sanitised.
