Sabah Robber Steals Woman's Car After Realising She Only Had RM50 In Her Bank Account

The suspect threatened to hurt her son with a parang.

A 34-year-old woman's car was stolen while she was withdrawing money from an ATM yesterday, 9 May, at Kota Kinabalu, Sabah

The Star reported that the kindergarten teacher was with her 10-year-old son when a parang-wielding man approached them.

The suspect demanded for the victim's car keys after threatening to hurt her son if she refused

In a press conference today, 10 May, Kota Kinabalu police chief Asst Comm Habibi Majinji said that the woman handed the man her car keys and he fled the scene.

According to The Star, the man had taken her car instead of cash after finding out that she only had RM50 in her bank account.

The police has since urged the public to come forward if they have any information relating to the robber or the incident
