After serving customers for more than 17 years, Oriental Cravings in 1 Utama Shopping Centre announced that it has closed down for good

On their social media yesterday, 7 September, the restaurant penned a heartfelt farewell thanking its customers for the memories.

"It's been an incredible 17 and a half years, and we can't even begin to thank you for all of your support," reads the caption.

"Your meals with us went beyond satisfying cravings and hungry bellies – by supporting our little space you supported dozens of families, you allowed the recipes of our elders to live on, you shared birthdays, first dates, friendship and kindness with us. We even got to see some of your kids grow up! These memories are irreplaceable and for that, we are eternally grateful."

"As we take the photos down from these walls and flip the switches off for the last time, we are filled with both sadness and overwhelming gratitude for all the joy this space has held for us.

"It's goodbye for now, and we sincerely wish you the best."

Left devastated by the news, Malaysians have been sharing all of their favourite meals they've enjoyed there, including their claypot loh shi fun, yam cake, and curry laksa

Although the restaurant has shut down, it appears that you can still enjoy their signature loh shi fun

According to several posts, the boss of Oriental Cravings, along with her Burmese staff, have started selling the famous claypot loh shi fun for RM13.90 under a small business called Myat & Potatoes. They also have other Burmese dishes available.
